Captain Lexi Neel thought she’d sacrificed years of life with her daughter when she left Earth on a decades-long journey through the depths of space. But when a distress signal takes her out of hypersleep years ahead of schedule, she finds herself on the mysterious moon Aion, home to exotic wildlife and a research station dedicated to study of the moon’s “particularities.” It might mean a chance to start over as if she never left… As Lexi is about to learn, time is an experience.
Aion was such a fun sci-fi comic! The plot was interesting and dare I say, quite unexpected. I love the twist and I’m longing for more when I hit the last page. The art style matches the whole vibes of this story and it was even a bit creepy at some point. I’m especially loving the atmospheric background!

Ever since she was a little girl, Rose has had a special and troubling power: the ability to “double” herself and travel outside her body. She always saw it as something wrong with her… until now. When her father is murdered, Rose’s strange ability gives her a chance to find her father’s killer, solve a series of mysterious cold cases, and untangle a centuries-old curse. But maybe some secrets should stay buried…
This is definitely an intriguing read and I’m so impressed with the great execution of the plot, the characters and the suitable art style that matched the vibes of this story. It’s not scary but it still got that intense, mysterious feelings around it. The cliffhanger at the end was a bummer, but it makes me super excited for the next volume!

A story of love and demons, family and witchcraft.

Nova Huang knows more about magic than your average teen witch. She works at her grandmothers’ bookshop, where she helps them loan out spell books and investigate any supernatural occurrences in their New England town.

One fateful night, she follows reports of a white wolf into the woods, and she comes across the unexpected: her childhood crush, Tam Lang, battling a horse demon in the woods. As a werewolf, Tam has been wandering from place to place for years, unable to call any town home.

Pursued by dark forces eager to claim the magic of wolves and out of options, Tam turns to Nova for help. Their latent feelings are rekindled against the backdrop of witchcraft, untested magic, occult rituals, and family ties both new and old in this enchanting tale of self-discovery.

I fall in love with basically every aspect of this book. The plot was enchanting and the adventure was super fun to follow. The characters are lovable and it’s hard to resist to not root for them, especially our two main characters, Nova and Tam. Oh! And how could I forget about the lovely grandmas?! And the magical pokemon-look-alike wood animals?! (and even the demon looks adorable?!) So many representations included in this cute comic and I couldn’t scream more about it. Lastly, the art™!!! I’m so in love with the drawing style and color schemes.
