Memes WWW Wednesdays

This is my first time ever to join WWW Wednesday and honestly, I’m pretty excited! I think it’s a great way to push myself to read more and to also discover new gems from others! Anyway, WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words. All you have to do is answer three simple questions (“The three Ws”):

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you just finish reading?
  • What are you planning on reading next?

What are you currently reading?

I am currently reading Friction in Motion by Sy Kadella. This is my very first ARC copy from NetGalley and I’m really excited about it. I’m currently at page 50-ish, and so far it was pretty good. I really like the writing style of this book, though. It’s short and direct, but not shallow at all and still captivating. My target is to finish reading this book by tomorrow or the day after that, and I’m going to post my review afterwards!

What did you just finish reading?

I just finished reading NeverHaven by Michael W. Garza. This is my first time to read occult genre on print since I usually watched it on screen. So, it’s really refreshing to find a different media to approach this genre. I must say I’ve had quite a struggle to imagine the setting and location which described in this book, but I’d blame it on my lack of imagination. However, I enjoyed this book and you can read my full review about this book here.

What are you planning on reading next?

My upcoming read is my second ARC copy that I received from NetGalley and it’s And Then You Were Gone by R.J. Jacobs. I’m a big fan of mystery and thriller, so, when I saw the summary of this book, I couldn’t help it but request the ARC, and lucky me, I got the chance to read it early. From what I read on the summary, it really reminds me of Adrift (2018), but I predict the ending will be quite a surprise!

  1. I’ve been doing this meme for a while now and serve as my weekly wrap up. hehe. Glad you joined in the fun. 🙂 And I’m not familiar with your books so I need to check them out. 🙂

    1. I’m planning to do the same, Lili! I think it’s a great way to motivate yourself with your current reads too. And you really should check Friction in Motion. It’s pretty entertaining! Sorry for such late reply, by the way!
