Welcome to the Blogtober series! It’s my first time to join this exciting event since it’s also my first year after deciding to blogging again. For this year, I decided to do a whole month of challenge which created by Lucy @ Lucy Goes to Hollywood. I found out about this challenge on her Twitter#LGTHOctoberChallenge is a horror movie challenge that created by Lucy @ Lucy Goes to Hollywood that runs for the entire October. The prompt for Day 9 is a franchise you love. Here’s mine!

Okay, listen. I’m contemplating between Final Destination and The Purge for this one. I know what you’re thinking. They’re not even that great. Shh, I’m aware of that. This one is solely based on my subjective assessment and I’m not judging every aspects within the movies.

Final Destination is one of the earliest horror franchise that I watched. I was still in middle school, went to movie renting place, and I saw ’em. Later that day, I was hooked to this series (please noted I was around 14/15 and I used to give everything a 5 stars rating for everything) and I was thinking to myself, “That’s so clever. WOW.”. I was pretty much Owen Wilson for the day.

Meanwhile, I watched The Purge a bit more recently, just a few years ago. First year at uni, I haven’t really watched that much movies. But, the plot was rather interesting for me. I’m talking about how this could be actually happening in real life. Would people really do that? Is there actually people out there that feels the need to commit crimes to fulfill their desires?

If you want to join the challenge, here‘s the prompt that Lucy made for the whole month of October.

What about you? What is a franchise that you love and why?

  1. I’m not into horror so I don’t really have any favorite horror franchise 😅 And now I realized I don’t really have a franchise I’m obsessed with in any genre! Like I love the 7 Harry Potter movies but not the Fantastic Beasts one. And I’m obsessed with the first three Pirates of the Carribean films but not the succeeding ones. I guess, I just haven’t found the franchise I’ll love that much 😅
Anyway, great post! I’m so glad to have found your blog through Lee 🌻

    1. OMG I’m feeling the same about Harry Potter! It’s my all time favorite franchise and no other franchise can beat HP, even Fantastic Beasts! I’m aware that they’re coming from the same universe, but both are sooo different! And thank you! Lee’s amazing and I’m glad you found my blog through her! x
